In 1987, the people of Memorial UCC voted to move from their location on Madison Street, just of of Regent Street near the old UW Fieldhouse, to a vacant lot in the newly-incorporated City of Fitchburg. Ground was broken on July 3, 1988, the steeple went up on Oct. 15, 1988 and the dedication of the new church took place on April 16, 1989. Here are some video highlights.
