Adopted by the Council on March 8, 2011 1) Establish a process and activities to connect our newest members into the life and ministry of our congregation. 2) Reach out to existing members who have become more distant to help them re-establish a more active role in the community and life of Memorial UCC. 3) Support the creation of an active youth community here. 4) Grow our social media ministry to become more visible and accessible to the larger community. 5) Provide new opportunities to minister to the various kinds of relationships present within our church community. 6) Move Memorial UCC toward greater environmental sustainability through establishment of a congregational green team. 7) Continue expanding our mission outreach beyond the doors of Memorial UCC, focusing additional attention this year on the Latino population of Fitchburg. Council specific goals 1) Tackle creation of appropriate personnel policies. 2) Establish a strategic planning group to create a long-range plan for our physical space to accommodate future membership growth. Membership committee specific goal Train our membership how to • warmly welcome visitors and • make new members feel comfortable here. |
