When visitors come to Memorial, we want to make sure they feel welcome and have a chance to learn about our congregation. When people become members of Memorial, we want them to know that the congregation is looking out for their needs. The Membership Committee takes on both roles, working to create a warm, caring and welcoming environment for people of any age, race, sexual orientation and church background, assisting with the Inquirer's Class, and helping new members find ways to participate in the life and ministry of the church.

Parish Nurse

Memorial has a parish nurse as part of our staff to help members and friends cope with the spiritual dimensions of what happens to their bodies. The parish nurse also helps us tend to better ways to care for our bodies.

She works with the Health Ministries Committee in determining the best ways to serve our congregation.

Here is the way Mary Ircink describes her role: The parish nurse, in collaboration with the pastoral staff and congregants, participates in the ongoing transformation of the faith community into sources of health and healing.
Health is growth towards well-being of the body, mind and spirit. 

Parish Nurse: Integrator of Faith and Health,Health Educator, Health Counselor, Referral resource, Facilitator and Advocate for the members of the church community.
