Summary of Volunteer Services Provided in 2009 Recorded and deposited weekly contributions and prepared quarterly giving statements for members as needed. Processed payroll for staff monthly as well as accounts payable for vendors who service our facilities. Prepared and reviewed financial reports for the Church Council as well as monthly expense reports for program committees. Managed the MUCC Endowment Fund with the United Church Foundation and the Ahrnsbrak Endowment Fund locally. Revamped and updated the computer back-up system and procedures for the Church’s network of computers (Thank-you Ted Peterson). Coerced John Van Overbeke to continue to assist the Trustees (pretty easy). Prepared year-end financial reports for the 2009 Annual Meeting. Provided resources and support to the Stewardship Committee through Trustee member participation. Worked with committees to develop 2010 Operating Budget and presented same to Church Council. Assisted in the review/recommended changes for the Church Constitution. Replaced our internal custodian with an independent firm. Reviewed program and procedures for Memory Garden(s) around the building. New Goals for 2010 Assist in developing a 5-year plan for property maintenance and major repairs. Assist with the development of a policy and procedures manual for Memorial UCC, notably in area of Human Resources. Enhance information for the congregation on the Endowment Fund as well as other long-term giving opportunities.
