The Trustee Committee as defined by church by-laws is responsible for the care and custody of church property whether real or personal. This includes not only physical property but also all financial assets.
What we do:
• Post and deposit weekly church contributions and prepare quarterly giving statements for all contributors. • Pay all church financial obligations on a timely basis including vendor and payroll payments. • File all applicable Federal, State, and Local government reports. • Control, invest and safeguard all financial assets of the congregation. • Develop the annual operating budget of the church. • Prepare and issue monthly financial reports to Council and committee chairs. • Prepare and issue annual reports to the entire congregations on all aspects of the church’s financial business. • Support the Endowment Fund through informational meetings and brochures. • Support the Building and Grounds Committee and its role in maintaining and improving our physical environment. • Support the Stewardship Committee in its annual fund raising effort. • Recognize memorial and estate gifts in a timely manner. • Review trustee structure versus Church Constitution and recommend changes to Council.
