Health advisories - flu shots Public Health Madison and Dane County is holding a limited number of free flu clinics for uninsured adults to receive flu vaccine. Here is a link to information on the upcoming dates. There are many adults in Dane County with poor access to preventive health services, and flu immunization is one way to help stay healthy through the winter months. The flu vaccine protects not only the person being immunized, but also protects those around them, especially infants too young to be immunized. The vaccine is currently recommended for all people over 6 months of age. Public Health routinely provides free flu (and other recommended vaccines) vaccines to children through 18 years of age also at our regular clinics (for more information see: http://www.publichealthmdc.com/disease/immunizations/clinics.cfm) Diane McHugh, RN Immunization Specialist Public Health Madison/Dane County | Thoughts from Mary January 2012 Health Tip - Healthy New Year
